                       Medical Facilities

No one likes to think of getting ill.  However, there’s good news for Summerset residents. The community is served by nearby Sutter Delta Medical Center and the newly constructed John Muir/Mt. Diable Health Center, at the corner of Highway 4 Bypass and Balfour Road, which will eventually grow to include a full service hospital when completed in the relatively near future.  There is also a new Kaiser-Permanent Medical Center on Deer Valley Road in Antioch, close to the Brentwood city limits that has a hospital presently under consttruction.  Many physicians are presently located within the city limits of Brentwood.

Cultural and Educational Opportunities

One thing that will be very important to many Summerset residents will be the opportunity to continue their education.  And they can.

California State University, Diable Valley Collage and Los Medanos Community College are all accessible for studies ranging from Art History to Zoology. Some classes are held directly in Brentwood.  Between classes, you’ll also have access to three nearby libraries: one in Brentwood, one in Antioch and one in Oakley and the renowned Behring Museums located in Blackhawk.

Numerous movie theaters are found in the area along with two performing arts theaters.  For those who want to take advantage of the cultural life in the city a local bus will take you directly to the BART line.
